Types of data

There are 3 types of data 

Transactions

• The source of these data are usually from mobile apps, web apps, data centers.
• These data are structured and are received as records from RDBMS like MySQL, Oracle etc
• They could also be received from In-memory data structures.
• We can receive these data from our data centers.

Files

• These are usually semi structured data received from log files and search documents.
• Typical example could be log files from Apache, IIS.
• They are usually in particular format such as csv, xml, avro, parquet.

Events

• These are data streams that are received from devices, Sensors and IOT.
